Maharashtra’s former home minister Anil Deshmukh skipped summons by the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday for questioning in a money laundering case.

His lawyer who visited the ED office said that they have given a letter to ED and asked them to furnish documents based on which they are to be questioned.

The lawyer said that the NCP leader doesn’t have any knowledge about the line of investigation.

The lawyers also maintained that former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was present in Mumbai and willing to cooperate with the agency in their investigation.

Earlier on Saturday, the central probe agency arrested Deshmukh’s personal assistant Kundan Shinde and personal secretary Sanjeev Palande.
