From Kaiyethum Doorathu to Trance, Fahadh has come a long way. Here is the comeback story of the actor, that is surely going to leave you inspired!

When Fahadh Faasil was introduced as a debutant in the Malayalam film Kaiyethum Doorath (2002) by his father and renowned director Fazil, the industry rejected him. His boyish looks and the funny character portrayal in the film weren’t enough to steal the hearts of an audience who enjoyed watching legends like Mammootty and Mohanlal. Fahadh returned to the industry after a seven-year break and soon got noticed for his breathtaking roles in several hit films.

Fahadh amused his critics with a small role as made a comeback with Kerala Café after a long gap of seven years. The actor had to wait for another two years to garner public attention for his role in the film Chaapa Kurishu in 2011. Fahadh won his first Kerala State Film Award for his role in this film that became popular for its unconventional storyline. He soon became a usual selection for hitmakers for his versatile acting and phenomenal performances in movies.

The filmmakers started to take him seriously as an actor who was courageous enough to experiment with characters. The actor became popular with his movies like Diamond Necklace, 22 Female Kottayam and Akam. In 2013, he became an industry favourite with the Rajeev Ravi film Annayum Rasoolum. Fahadh soon turned into a brand name that the mainstream audiences loved to watch in unconventional movies.

Fahadh went on to win the Kerala State Film Award again for the best actor in the year 2014 for his performance in the movie Artist. Anjali Menon’s hit film Bangalore Days was a turning point in the actor’s career as he was cast alongside Nazriya Nazim, who later became his wife. Fahadh made several industry records in commercial success with his films Iyyobinte Pusthakam and Maheshinte Prathikaram.

In 2018, the actor won the National Film Award for best supporting actor for the movie Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum. He recently appeared in Amal Neerad movie Trance along with his wife Nazriya Nazim, which is also one of the highest-grossing films of this year.
