Mission Begin Again: Gyms And Salons To Re-Open In A Week, Says Maharashtra Cabinet Minister
The Maharashtra government has decided to re-open gymnasiums and salons in the next seven days wherever possible with certain SOPs and guidelines.
Amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the Maharashtra government has decided to re-open gymnasiums and salons in the state within a week, said State Cabinet Minister Aslam Sheikh, on Thursday (June 25). He added that the guidelines for the same would be issued shortly. He pointed out that the Uddhav Thackeray-led government has not taken any decision on allowing religious gathering in the state. Maharashtra has, so far, recorded 1,42,900 cases and 6,739 deaths as per the data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
The Maharashtra government has decided to re-open gymnasiums and salons within seven days in the state. Cabinet Minister Aslam Sheikh said, “Last week, after a meeting with gymnasium and salon operators, we have decided that, wherever possible, we will open salons and gymnasiums. But, the opening up will be with certain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and state guidelines. This will be as early as in a week’s time.”
