Rohit Sharma said, “Trent for us has been very crucial as well with the new ball up front, taking that early wicket in his first or the second over has been very crucial for us to build up from that. He’s always done that in his career, wherever he plays, whether it’s for New Zealand or any other club and now he’s doing for Mumbai. It’s good to watch. We know what quality Trent has and he’s come here and has not disappointed any of us. He’s just come out and backed his skills and that has rewarded him magnificently.”
Sharma then went on to give away details about Boult’s fitness. “I’ve not personally seen him, but he looks alright, he looks fine. It was just that precaution that we needed to take because we were in a good position when that happened after his two overs, so he went in. He looks okay to me, he should be okay for the finals,” remarked Rohit. He also claimed that the win against DC in Qualifier 1 was MI’s best performance of the IPL 2020 season so far. In the match, MI played back amazingly to score 92 runs in the final 6 overs, finishing with a competitive total of 200.
