Manmohan Singh Was PM For Namesake, Sonia Gandhi Was Super PM: BJP Spokesperson
Sambit Patra made allegations against the Congress Party for being corrupt and diverting Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra held a press conference, on Friday (June 26), in which he said that Dr Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister just for namesake during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA). Referring to Sonia Gandhi, he called her the actual Super Prime Minister. Patra spoke about the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) and alleged that the auditor of the same was also be affiliated with the Congress party. Patra said that it was Rameshwar Thakur who had audited the PMNRF since its inception, up to 2017/2018.
This is what has led to Patra’s allegation of corruption in the Congress party. He also alleged that members of the Congress party were using funds from the PM National Relief Fund for their own expenses. The Congress party is still to respond to these allegations. BJP President JP Nadda also questioned the Congress party over PMNRF being diverted to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation under UPA.
People of India donated their hard-earned money to PMNRF to help their fellow citizens in need. To divert this public money into a family run foundation is not only a brazen fraud but also a big betrayal of the people of India.
