Man Collapses At A Delhi Metro Station, CISF Guard Administers CPR To Save His Life

At the Dabri Metro station, few CISF officials saved a passenger’s life by administering him with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) medical procedure.

A 53-year-old man collapsed at a Delhi Metro station. The Central Industrial Security Force officials saved his life by giving him CPR. They immediately administered him to the emergency room. Read further to know in detail what happened at the Dabri metro station in Delhi.

CISF officials saved the life of a man who collapsed at the Kolkata airport 

On Sunday, January 17, a man fainted and collapsed at the Dabri Metro station in Delhi.  The man later informed that he was from Delhi’s Janakpuri. The CISF officer named Vikas saved him by giving him an emergency medical procedure. The name of the passenger was Satyanarayan who collapsed near the security checking of the Dabri Metro station. He suffered from severe injuries on his face and mouth as he fell down. On-duty CISF constable Vikas saw him and immediately rushed towards him. He took the passenger aside and tried giving him a CPR procedure.

An official at the metro station said,” The passenger was unconscious but was breathing. CISF constable Vikas immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) medical procedure to the passenger. The passenger soon regained his senses.” Later a medical team rushed and helped him get stable. The video was captured in the CCTV camera at the airport.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a Central Armed Police Force in India. The CISF provides security services to over 300 industries. Several government infrastructures such as atomic power plants, space installations, mines, oil fields and refineries, major ports, heavy engineering, steel plants, barrages, fertiliser units, airports, metro stations and hydroelectric/thermal power plants are protected by the CISF officials.

Currently, they guard over 6 airports in the country. They have given special training to most of their officers to conduct CPR and similar medical procedures. There have been many such incidents wherein the passengers have collapsed at airports and metro stations and other industries. In such cases, the CISF officials have been permitted to take up such steps.
