Maharashtra Government Asks Mumbai Police To Probe Kangana’s Drug Links
Basis the actress’s ex-boyfriend’s claims in an old interview that she consumed drugs, the Mumbai police is likely to probe the matter
With the war between actress Kangana Ranaut and the Maharashtra government intensifying, the latter has now written to the Mumbai police to investigate the actress’s links to the world of drugs. This comes after an old video of Kangana’s ex-partner Adhyayan Suman surfaced, where he alleged that she used to consume cocaine and forced him to do the same too.
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, who wants action against the Queen actress basis this video, said that the matter will be investigated by the Mumbai police.
Now with an official letter from the government, the police department will decide whether the probe will be conducted by a special investigation team (SIT) or the city’s anti-narcotics cell. It is unlikely for the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to handle this case.
Meanwhile, Adhyayan Suman has urged the media and authorities to keep him out of the controversy, stressing that he already faced ridicule on national television after this particular interview in 2016.
Ranaut has been in the news after she criticized the Maharashtra government and police and compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The National Award-winning actress faced the heat from the authorities as her Bandra office was partially razed down on charges of illegal construction.
