Madhya Pradesh HM Narottam Mishra Says “Even Congress MLAs Don’t Believe In Kamal Nath”
Home Minister lashes out at Congress after the party’s MLA meeting on Sunday.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has come out with hard-hitting criticism for the Congress party. Addressing the former Chief Minister of the state, he tweeted, “Even Congress MLAs don’t believe in Kamal Nath. They didn’t believe in him when he was Chief Minister and don’t believe in him now.” The remarks came after Kamal Nath had called for a meeting of party MLAs in which they were allegedly asked to promise that they don’t defect to the BJP.
pic.twitter.com/yqyEw778yv

Madhya Pradesh is currently preparing for by-polls for 24 seats, and the war of words will hence continue to go on until then. The by-polls are important for the BJP since they have 107 out of the 230 assembly seats in their kitty. To form an absolute majority, the party would require 116 MLAs, which could become a hard task if the Congress party succeeds in beating them. The dates for the elections are still to be announced.
