The reviews of the latest ZEE5 Original spy thriller, London Confidential, opened to a rating of 9.5 on IMDb.

London Confidential is the latest film on ZEE5 made completely post-lockdown. The film stars Mouni Roy and Purab Kohli as RAW Agents in London who try to uncover a Chinese conspiracy to spread a new deadly virus inside the Indian border. In the middle of a pandemic and seeing tensions along the Indo-China border, this film was bound to strike a chord with audiences.

The Quint noted that the film was a thriller relevant to our times and said ‘there are chances you might miss something if you look away from the screen even for a moment.’ They also added the story had a slick pace and a tooth rattling plot. India Today called the film an addictive spy thriller and a women-centric film with strong, independent women, focussed on their jobs.

Hindustan Times mentions that London Confidential is a crisp espionage thriller and adds that London Confidential neither has lengthy jingoistic monologues nor in-your-face Chinese-bashing. India Times highlighted the pandemic aspect of the film saying ‘They not only bring out the stress and anxiety that comes with living after a pandemic but also how day-to-day lives have been drastically altered.’
