Leonardo DiCaprio yet again adds another gem to his enviable real estate collection. His latest buy is at Malibu, where it has been revealed that DiCaprio has purchased an oceanfront for $13.8 million. Far west to the city and aloof from the population, this is his fourth oceanfront buy in Malibu. But one of them was sold off in 2009 for $7.4 million. Another house was unloaded in 2013 for $17.4 million by New York-based hedge fund mogul Christian Leone and his husband, interior designer Malcolm Kutner. The third home at Carbon Beach, has also been put on sale for $10 million asking price.

Insider pictures and details of the house are unavailable as it was never publicly offered for sale, But tax records reveal that the two-story structure was built in 2005 and has four bedrooms and five bathrooms in about 3,200 square feet of living space. DiCaprio bought it from the prominent orthopaedic surgeon Rick Delamarter.

The house is situated at a deserted beach in Blue Whale Estates, a lesser known gated colony of only five homes. The colony and houses have direct access to the ocean. In addition to DiCaprio, Neil Diamond is also a resident of Blue Whale Estates. He had bought a house in the colony that’s right across from DiCaprio’s. The enclave also includes a dazzling and triangular, all-glass house. It was designed by Ed Niles, owned by Elizabeth Kolawa, the CEO of software/tech company Parasoft.

DiCaprio’s collection of real estate includes two homes in Los Feliz, a Palm Springs mansion, several luxury apartments in New York City and a private island on Belize. His main residence is a three-house compound in L.A.’s Bird Streets neighborhood. The house is astonishingly built with views that extend from downtown to the Pacific Ocean. The academy award winner has grossed over $7.2 billion worldwide, as of 2019. He has also been placed eight times in annual rankings of the world’s highest-paid actors.
