Lana Del Rey fans, you are in for a ride. The singer-songwriter is has announced the release of her new song Arcadia releasing next week on Wednesday. A new song from her latest upcoming album Blue Banisters will be out next week, so you can brace yourselves.
American singer-songwriter taking to Instagram shared a portrait of her – probably a still from the upcoming song – and captioned it, “ARCADIA out Wednesday listen to it like you listened to Video Games”. The caption comes with an instruction wherein she is asking her fans to listen to with the same dedication as one listened to “Video Games” – the lead single on her 2012 major label debut album Born To Die.
Back in July, the 36-year-old singer had claimed that she would release her upcoming LP Blue Banisters. But the release didn’t happen and the date is yet to be decided. During that time she had even shared the news with her fans on social media along with an artwork of Blue Banisters and a music video teaser.
Further, the alternative-pop artist in May had surprised her fans by releasing three new singles: the title track of the album, Text Book and Wildflower Wildfire.
Lana Del Rey’s major-label debut, Born to Die in 2012 was an international success, followed by Summertime Sadness that was the top-ten single on the Billboard Hot 100. Not just that, her other singles Blue Jeans and Born to Die also charted high in several overseas territories.
Del Rey’s third album, Ultraviolence in 2014, charted top numbers with critical success and spawned the single West Coast. The same year, Del Rey earned a Golden Globe nomination for her theme for the drama film Big Eyes. Her 217 Lust for Life album once again topped the US Billboard 200.
