Kshitij Prasad Alleges NCB Pressurised Him To Implicate Karan Johar In Drug Probe
The former Dharma Productions employee’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde alleged that his client was subjected to torture to falsely implicate Karan Johar.
Shocking claims have been made by former Dharma Productions employee Kshitij Prasad’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde against the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Maneshinde stated that his client was forced by the agency to falsely implicate the company’s owner, filmmaker Karan Johar.
The counsel further went on to say that Prasad, who has been sent to judicial custody till 3 October, was tortured and blackmailed by the investigating team to frame Johar.
The NCB has promptly denied these allegations and said that they are a professional agency and never subjected the person in question to any third degree torture.
Kshtij’s house was raided by the authorities while the former was away on a trip to Delhi. After recovering a small quantity of weed in his home, the executive producer was picked up by the probing team from the Mumbai airport itself. His name had emerged in some drug-related chats while interrogating arrested peddlers KJ and Anuj Keswani.
Meanwhile, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director issued a statement denying the use of illegal substances during a party last year, adding that he doesn’t consume or promote the same. He clarified that no drugs were used during the intimate get together where actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Vicky Kaushal were also present.
