Kriti Sanon Unveils The First Look Poster Of Surrogacy Drama ‘Mimi’

Sharing the first look of herself from the film Mimi, Kriti Sanon announced the release month of this new project. In the film, she will be seen stepping into the shoes of a surrogate mother.

Kriti Sanon is taking up experimental projects quite often. From playing a small-town girl to living up to a history-based character, Kriti has done it all with great aplomb. And now, the actor is back with another interesting film ‘Mimi’. Recently, Kriti surprised her fans as she shared the first look of this upcoming comedy-drama. And the audiences are more than excited watching her in an all-new avatar. 

Sharing the first look of herself from the film ‘Mimi’, Kriti announced the release month of this new project. She wrote, “This July, expect the extraordinary from the ordinary! Stay tuned.” As seen in the post, it is a conceptual poster of the film which shows Kriti in a confused look while she cradles her baby bump. Also, the tagline of the film read, “Nothing like what you are expecting.”

In ‘Mimi’, Kriti will be seen stepping into the shoes of a surrogate mother. While more details of the film have been kept under wraps, Mimi is the official remake of the National Award-winning Marathi movie ‘Mala Aai Vahhaychy!’. The original film was helmed by Samruddhi Porey and the upcoming Hindi remake is directed by Laxman Utekar.

Talking about this film, Kriti had shared an interesting trivia. “Mimi is the only film which I said yes after hearing the idea but not the script,” she said. Also, Kriti added that the role had “a lot to offer” her as an actor. Reportedly, she had gained 15 kilos to prepare for her character in the film.

Apart from Kriti, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles. While the film’s release is still in question, there are reports that Mimi might opt the OTT way.
