Kim Jong-un In Coma As Sister Kim Yo-jong Takes Control: Report
South Korean spies believe younger sibling to be “de facto second-in-command.”

Reports coming in from South Korea are saying that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has slipped into a coma, even as his sister Kim Yo-jong has now assumed most of his powers. The 37-year-old (age remains disputed) Supreme Leader of North Korea is believed to have become seriously ill, according to a former South Korean official. “I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended,” he told South Korean media.
The official has also revealed that Kim Jong-un’s 33-year-old sibling Kim Yo-jong now serves as his “de facto second-in-command,” despite the fact that she hasn’t been formally designated as his successor. Back in April, similar reports had started streaming in, when a botched heart operation was being said to be the reason for his apparent death. But North Korea cleared the air immediately by publishing photographs of a healthy Kim Jong-un. Since then he has only made a handful of public appearances.
