Keerthy Suresh Slams Wedding Rumours, Asks To Focus On Fighting The Covid-19 Pandemic

Putting an end to her wedding speculations, actress Keerthy Suresh clarified that she does not have any such plans right now.

Keerthy Suresh, who appears predominantly in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, recently made headlines for her wedding rumours. Reports suggested that the actress is going to have an arranged marriage. Yes, you read that right! Speculations are rife that Keerthy’s parents Suresh Kumar and Menaka have decided to get her married to an influential businessman with political ties and the former has already given her nod. However, the actress, in a recent interview with a leading daily, has denied the rumours of her tying the knot with a billionaire businessman.

Talking to the publication, the Sarkar actress expressed her surprise at the wedding rumours. She stated, “This news has come as a surprise to me as well. I don’t know how this even started to circulate. Let me make it very clear that I do not have any such plans right now. I’m not getting married any time soon.”

Emphasising on the fact that how the nation needs more focus on the global pandemic issue than such baseless rumours, Keerthy added, “I think there are more significant issues that the country is dealing with right now and the focus should be on fighting the Covid-19 pandemic rather than on such unfounded rumours.”

Keerthy also urged her fans to abide by lockdown rules. She says, “All I want to tell people is to stay safe, maintain social distancing and work towards keeping your loved ones safe.”

Keerthy, who is currently one of the most sought after actresses in the South Indian films, has a couple of films in her kitty. She will next be seen in a Tamil film titled, Penguin. There are other Telugu films lined up for her such as Miss India, Range De and Good Luck Sakhi, which are currently at different stages of production. However, the novel coronavirus has shut down temporarily the film productions and so, the work has been put on hold for a while. Stay tuned!
