Kedarnath is almost covered in snow. The Hindu temple and its surrounding have received heavy snowfall of up to 4ft thickness. This heavy snowfall has affected all the repairing work in the temple and its surrounding. Many construction workers had to climb down and stop work. Find out more details about this story below.

Kedarnath is a must-visit pilgrim spot for Hindus. Kedarnath witnesses thousands of devotees every year but they often suffer during the winter season. The heavy snowfall and drop in temperature cause severe issues in their trips. Even this year, many visitors suffered because of heavy snowfall in the area.

Kedarnath received heavy snowfall recently and this has resulted in 4ft thick snow covering the entire area. As mentioned above, all the reconstruction and beautification processes at the temple had to be suspended. Cops present at the temple have retreated to Gaurikund. The heavy snowfall has suspended the electricity supply in the temple and also its surroundings.

But the snowfall has also given rise to tourist activities in Auli. After receiving heavy snowfall in Auli, its subsequent sunshine weather worked as a breather for all the tourists. As the weather continued to be favourable, the number of tourists also increased in Auli and its surrounding areas.

Moving on, the temperature is expected to drop more in North India. In Haryana’s Chandigarh, the temperature dropped to 5℃ at nights. This cold has even led to many people covering their idols in winter clothes to keep them warm. Just like Chandigarh, the temperature also dropped in Bhopal.
