Kanpur Lab Technician Murder: Victim’s Family Makes Shocking Allegations On UP Police
They claimed that the cops were hand in gloves with the kidnappers and actually helped them get the ransom money of Rs 30 lakhs.
The kidnapping and murder of a lab technician from Kanpur have painted a grim picture of the city. And now, the family of the victim has come forward and made serious allegations against UP Police. They have alleged that the cops were complicit with the kidnappers and actually helped them get the ransom money of Rs 30 lakhs. Five persons, including a woman, were arrested on charges of kidnap and murder on Friday, July 24.
Lab technician Sanjeet Yadav’s family had alleged last week that he was kidnapped in June and the abductors had asked for a ransom of ₹30 lakh. The family then claimed that they threw a bag containing the cash on a road from the top of a flyover, as instructed in the presence of a police force who were supposed to nab the kidnappers when they came to collect the cash. However, the police could not entrap the kidnappers, who managed to escape with the money. A few days later, news of his killing arrived.
