Kangana Ranaut, who’s latest film Thalaivii released in cinemas, feels Hollywood has destroyed other industries by a global monopoly
A press conference was held for the promotion of Kangana Ranaut’s Tamil debut film Thalaivii, the actress shared her opinion on Hollywood films. Kangana Ranaut revealed that Hollywood films need to be discouraged which will also help in making an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The actress took to her Instagram account and shared her words which stated, ”Hollywood has destroyed other industries by creating a global monopoly. They are taking over our screens. We would rather see the dubbed version of Lion King or Jungle Book over dubbed version of a Malayalam film.”
The actress feels that the Hollywood industry has minimized the importance of Indian films. Kangana Ranaut feels that as the audience is switching to watching these International films more than the Hindi films, the importance of Indian languages is getting less. Kangana Ranaut wants her fans to watch more regional content and appreciate the value of Hindi cinema.

In Thalaivii, Kangana Ranaut will play the role of J Jayalalithaa who was an Indian politician and film actress who served as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for more than fourteen years between 1991 and 2016. The film is a biopic and the actress will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar.
On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Dhaakad which will be an action thriller. Along with Kangana Ranaut actors like Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutt are also a part of the upcoming movie.
