ZEE5’s Original film Kaagaz has created a lot of buzz amongst moviegoers, thanks to Pankaj Tripathi’s never-before-seen avatar and his phenomenal way of portraying an ‘aam aadmi’ with the utmost ease. While the trailer of the film intrigued fans, the movie also garnered an overwhelming response from the audience. Speaking about the movie, Kaagaz is a drama that is inspired by the true story of a man who was declared dead in the official records. It all happens after his family steals away property from him by declaring his death even though he is alive. 1.During this sene, Bharat Lal confesses his problems to a Pandit Ji in his village. He informs the latter that he wishes to expand his work. Soon, Pandit Ji tells him that he should take a loan and go for it. However, Bharat Lal feels that the option isn’t right for him and that he should find another way to gather some money.

2.Speaking about the debt that will crumble his life after he takes up a hefty loan, Bharat Lal feels that these situations are like pampering a dog. He is worried about the consequences that will in-turn ruin his financial status all the more.

3. Bharat Lal is overjoyed after his wife gives birth to a baby girl. However, his mates from the village tease him about his dead declaration. One of the villagers quips that his daughter is crying because she’s born to a dead father. A shattered Bharat decides to go to any lengths to prove that he’s alive and also promises his little girl that she will never face any issues in her life.

4. Bharat Lal’s wife Rukmini faces a major breakdown after some agents at the widow pension centre laugh over her condition. She loses her cool and decides to shift to her mamaji’s house. When mamaji offers some cash to Bharat Lal, the latter refuses to take it and also speaks at length about his self-esteem.

5. After several problems, Bharat Lal learns that he will have to take the wrong path to prove himself right. He informs his wife that the entire judiciary is corrupt and tells her that if they can have him declared dead, then they can do anything. For this reason, he decides to turn into a criminal.

6. After Advocate Sadhuram takes Bharat Lal to another court, the opposition party speaks against him and also calls him a mad person. He shares his pain and informs everyone that some people have done wrong to him and that he will fight till the end to get himself registered as ‘alive’ on the papers.

7. After his confessions, the High Court Judge dismisses the case and once again leaves him stranded. Several lawyers request him to mind his tongue, but Bharat Lal’s fighting spirit knows no bounds. He informs everyone that he’s no more scared of anything.
