Journalist Vikram Joshi Killing: Wife Demands Encounter Of Murderers
The UP journalist, who was shot at in a brazen attack in front of his daughters in Ghaziabad, passed away on July 22, in the course of treatment.
Ghaziabad-based journalist Vikram Joshi, who was shot dead in the head by some assailants, succumbed to his injuries early morning on Wednesday (July 22). His death has evoked a sharp response from his family who condemned the attack on Joshi and demanded a judicial probe into it as well as other incidents of assault on scribes in Uttar Pradesh. Now, Vikram Joshi’s wife is demanding encounter of the assailants. Joshi’s sister said, “His wife is dazed and has not comprehended the situation. When these people are out on bail, who is to say that they will not target us again?”
Joshi’s family added, “What his children have seen is beyond anyone’s imagination. Vikram’s daughter has barely spoken since that day.”Joshi’s nephew said that the family will not accept the journalist’s body until the main accused is not caught. “Some boys, including Kamal-ud-Din’s son, used to eve-tease my sister. It was her birthday when the incident occurred. My uncle was coming home with her when Kamal-ud-Din’s son attacked him and shot him. We’ll not accept my uncle’s body till the main accused is caught,” he added.
