Jothe Jotheyali 9 September 2021 Written Update: Aryavardhan asks Anu to choose between him and Subbu

In the previous episode of Jothe Jotheyali, Anu is elated when Aryavardhan gives her a token of their love. Everyone teases Anu and Aryavardhan when they feed each other. Subbu gets locked in his room when he goes to get the money meant for the ‘dakshina’.

In the next episode of Jothe Jotheyali, the priest asks Aryavardhan and his family to take their seats for the final ritual. A dazed Subbu misses out on the priest’s words asking him to perform the final wedding ritual. Furthermore, Pushpa reminds Subbu of the final ritual and he carries out the same, getting Anu to sit on Sharada Devi’s lap and requesting her to look after Anu and to forgive her for any mistakes.

Mansi gets uncomfortable when it’s her turn to seat Anu in her lap. Subbu requests Mansi to look after Anu as her own sister and guide her with their family traditions. Mansi reassures Subbu that she and Sharada Devi will look after Anu. Harshavardhan assures Subbu that even though Anu is younger in age than him, she is like an elder sister to him. Mansi asks Anu to address her by her name. Pushpa tells Mansi how Anu always wanted a sister to talk to and requests Mansi to look after her. Harshavardhan teases Anu about how she will be his friend-sister-in-law.

Priya reassures Pushpa about Anu’s well-being. Subbu seats Anu on Aryavardhan’s lap and apologises to him for his past behaviour. Aryavardhan reassures Subbu that he has forgotten the past and has moved on. Subbu talks about how he doesn’t have to request Aryavardhan to keep Anu happy and later Aryavardhan promises to treat Anu like a queen.

Anu gets emotional when after the final ritual, Subbu suddenly starts talking about leaving and ignores Anu’s calls. Anu hugs Subbu and questions him for avoiding her and asks him to address her directly and not ignore her. Anu is unable to control her tears when Subbu continues to avoid her. Furthermore, Subbu reveals how he doesn’t want Anu to see his crying face, due to which he is avoiding looking at her, and how it will be difficult for him to live in a house where Anu will not be present.

Veena and Ganesh try to console Subbu when he continues to cry about Anu leaving him. Subbu talks about a daughter’s father’s pain as something that no one can ever realise. Subbu apologises to Aryavardhan and Sharada Devi for crying in front of everyone. Subbu tells Anu that he will cry when he returns home, just like he cried on her first day of school.

Subbu talks about how he is richer than Aryavardhan as his wealth is none other than Anu and no other wealth compares to Anu’s love for him. He tells Aryavardhan how he has added to his wealth by handing over Anu to him.

Subbu gives Anu’s hand in Aryavardhan’s hand and blesses them. When he is about to leave, Aryavardhan stops him. Everyone is surprised when Aryavardhan asks Anu to choose between him and Subbu. An emotional Subbu asks Anu to choose Aryavardhan but overwhelmed by emotions Anu chooses Subbu over Aryavardhan, surprising everyone.
