Jibon Saathi: 5 times Koushani tried ruining Oishani and Rik’s wedding rituals and nearly succeeded

Zee Bangla’s popular serial Jibon Saathi stars Diya Basu as Priyam, Sayan Karmakar as Sankalpa and Shrabani Bhunia as Jhelum in lead roles. Koushani might be Oishani’s twin sister but she has always been jealous of her and has always wanted to take her place in Rik’s life. She has gone to many extremes in order to create hurdles in the relationship of Oishani and Rik and many times she has been successful in her evil plans. Here are times when Koushani successfully ruined Oishani’s special days.

Koushani interrupts Oishani’s Gaye Holud

In one of the episodes, Oishani’s Gaye Holud is seen taking place and everybody seems to enjoy themselves. While a happy Oishani is seen soaking in the celebratory mood of the day, we see Koushani sneaking in. She has her head covered in a veil and has holud all over her cheeks. When the wind blows, Koushani’s veil moves and Oishani sees her. Koushani flees but Oishani is left frozen. Her happiness disappears as she can’t figure what Koushani might be up to, next.

Koushani burns Oishani’s wedding attire 

The wedding saree of any bride is considered auspicious and any damage to it is taken as a bad omen. Oishani’s wedding saree arrives and everybody seems to love it. They suggest that she should try the saree and see if it suits her. Oishani takes it to her room and keeps it on her bed and leaves. When she comes back again, the saree seems to have disappeared. After looking for some time, she finds the saree mysteriously burning in a corner of the house and everybody gets upset as it is considered a bad omen. Later it is revealed that it was actually Koushani who had set the saree on fire.

Koushani hurts Oishani at the wedding

Oishani’s fear that Koushani might try to take her place in the wedding comes true when Koushani arrives at the venue, dressed up like a bride. While Oishani and Rik’s wedding rituals begin, Koushani arrives at the venue to execute her evil plans. Just as Rik is about to put vermilion on Oishani’s forehead, the room gets filled with smoke. After the smoke disperses, we see that Koushani had taken Oishani’s place and her forehead is filled with vermilion. Oishani is found lying unconscious in a corner and Koushani laughs like a maniac at her sister’s condition.

Koushani crashes Rik and Oishani’s Phoolshojja

On the night of phoolshojja, Rik enters his room and sees someone sitting on the bed with her face covered with the ghomta. Rik assumes her to be Oishani and professes his love for her. When Rik lifts the ghomta, it is revealed that it was Koushani all along. She clutches onto Rik and refuses to let go. When Oishani comes back home from her parent’s place, Koushani tries to instigate a fight between her and Rik but Oishani lashes back at her and slaps her for her evil deeds.

Koushani interrupts Oishani’s Bhaat Kapor

In a recent episode, the ritual of Bhaat Kapor is about to take place and everybody can be seen in a joyful mood. Just when Rik is about to give the saree to Oishani, Koushani forcefully takes it from his hand and interrupts the ritual, leaving everyone shocked. With Koushani’s constant presence in Rik and Oishani’s life, it will be very hard for the couple to enjoy marital bliss.
