Jiah Khan Suicide Case: Court Rejects CBI’s Request For Further Probe Against Sooraj Pancholi

Sooraj Pancholi’s lawyer Prashant Patil while objecting to the petitions said that the matter has already been decided by the High Court and Supreme court. The CBI had claimed that the chats between Khan and Pancholi just before her death are relevant for further investigation.

Sooraj Pancholi’s lawyer Prashant Patil had said that the application was sought for examination of the dupatta and messages in February 2017. He argued that there was no change in the circumstances for the CBI to change its stand, as it had opposed Rabia’s plea in High Court. Prashant Patil had said that both applications were filed to delay the trial. A special judge A S Sayyad dismissed the pleas after hearing the arguments.

Talking about Jiah Khan’s suicide, she was found hanging at he home on June 3, 2013. Jiah Khan and Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi were in a relationship back then. The CBI reported that a suicide note written by Jiah Khan was seized by the Mumbai Police. The three-page note put light on her and Sooraj’s intimate relationship and her physical abuse and mental and physical torture by Sooraj which led to the suicide. Actor Sooraj Pancholi who is the son of Bollywood couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab was arrested on June 10, 2013, and granted bail in July.
