IPL 2021: MS Dhoni & Suresh Raina’s Friendship Is Priceless And So The Latter Proves On Social Media
Suresh Raina and skipper MS Dhoni are the longest-serving teammates who has been part of the franchise since 2008. The duo are known to be good friends off-pitch too.
As the Indian Premier League 2021 is just around the corner, Chennai Super Kings are all set to enter the battle. The former champions couldn’t be happier with the return of Suresh Raina, who missed the previous edition due to personal reasons. The fan favourite batsman joined the CSK team’s training camp rather late, however, is in full swing for the cricket carnival. Raina, also made sure that the fans know the relation their captain and vice-captain carry by sharing a picture of MS Dhoni and himself on Instagram.

Raina along with CSK skipper MS Dhoni are without a doubt the biggest stars of the franchise. The two ex-Indian stars have been part of the franchise since the inception of the league back in 2008. Last year, was the first time the two didn’t play alongside one another in the league, and it had created some rumours regarding a rift between the stars. Both the players failed to acknowledge it; however, it seems like they were only rumours as Raina recently took to Instagram to share a picture of the duo declaring the depth of their friendship.

In the photo taken from the practice camp of CSK, Raina can be seen checking his skipper Dhoni’s bat for him. Raina stole all CSK fan hearts with a single line as he wrote, “Not always eye to eye, but always heart to heart!” beneath the photo. The photo and the caption reaffirmed that the dynamic duo is indeed the best of friends. Raina had also made headlines earlier by announcing his retirement from international cricket just a day after Dhoni hanged up his shoes.
As per schedule, CSK will take on Delhi Capitals in their opening match of IPL 2021 on April 10. The game will take place in Mumbai due to restrictions set considering the COVID-19 situation. Chennai, who has been crowned champions thrice in the past, will play their first five matches in Mumbai, followed by four in Delhi, and the remaining in Bangalore and Kolkata.
