IPL 2021: Four Major Players Who Quit And Will Not Be Seen In This Season

IPL 2021 is all set to begin on April 9, 2021. The first match will be played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. All teams are geared up for the big league. However, there are a few players who recently backed out from IPL. Take a look at which major players quit from which teams this year.

Players who quite from IPL 

Mitchell Marsh 

Mitchell Marsh recently quit from Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team was shaken and had to find an immediate replacement for him. In 2020, he was a part of the team but could not play because of his injuries. According to reports, he does not want to stay indoors for the 7 days quarantine precaution. Every player who comes to India has to stay in isolation for 7 days after which they would be allowed to join their teams and practice with them. A few days ago, Virat Kohli mentioned that it is difficult to stay in a bio bubble every time a player travels to a different country. Marsh has informed BCCI as well as the team. The team decided to replace him with Jason Roy this year.

Jofra Archer 

Jofra Archer will miss the first four matches of IPL 2021. He won’t be practising or playing with the team for 8-10 days. However, there are speculations that he will not be playing any matches in the entire league. He got recently operated to remove a glass fragment from his hand. However, Rajasthan Royals and BCCI will have to wait for ECB to confirm his return.

Josh Philippe

Josh Philippe who was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore will not be playing for the team. He was bought at his base prize at the auction by the Virat Kolhi led RCB. He had made his debut with RCB in 2020 and played in UAE. He is now replaced by Finn Allen who will make his debut with RCB this year.

Shreyas Iyer 

Shreyas Iyer won’t be playing in the upcoming IPL season. He has been replaced by Rishabh Pant who is now the captain of Delhi Capitals. He was the co-captain of the team. However, the team has not included any other player apart from the existing ones.
