According to reports, CSK, RR, and RCB are planning to buy some of their players back! Read on to know more.
The IPL 2021 auction is all set to be held on the 28th of February which will take place in Chennai. All teams have disclosed their relieved and retained players, but new reports have surfaced according to which it is being said that some teams are planning on re-buying their released players at a lesser price! Glen Maxwell has been released from King XI Punjab, Steve Smith has been released from Rajasthan Royals. Aaron Finch and Chris Morris too, have been released from RCB.
According to reports, three teams are looking to buy 3 players back at a lower price. Chris Morris, an all-rounder, was released from RCB due to his sub-par performance in the IPL 2020. He was brought by RCB last year from Delhi Daredevils, where his performance was much better. Morris was supposed to be the glue that held the middle order together, but the player was not able to get enough runs or wickets, this time around. According to reports, RCB is looking to buy him back for around 1-2 crore rupees.
Second on the list is Piyush Chawla, who was brought by CSK for around 6.5 crores, but was released from the team due to his average performance. In the last IPL, Chawla was unable to take wickets in all three pitches in the UAE and was hence let go of, but CSK could buy him back at a cheaper price in this edition.
