IPL 2021: All The Orange Cap Winners In Indian Premiere League So Far

Indian Premier League would be starting on 9 April 2021. Over the years, several batsmen have received the IPL Orange Cap for their spectacular performances.  In IPL, the Orange cap is awarded to a batsman who scores the most runs at the end of the season. Throughout the season, the batsman who scored the highest runs dons the Orange cap. There are thirteen players who have received the Orange Cap so far.

List of Orange Cap winners in IPL over the years-

1)IPL 2008- Shaun Marsh from Kings XI Punjab scored 616 runs and donned the Orange Cap.
2)IPL 2009- Matthew Hayden scored 572 Runs for Chennai Super Kings and won the cap.
3)IPL 2010- Sachin Tendulkar with 618 runs for Mumbai Indians donned the Orange Cap.
4)IPL 2011- Chris Gayle from Kings XI Punjab scored 608 runs to win the cap.
5)IPL 2012- Chris Gayle scored 733 runs as he played for Kings XI Punjab winning the Orange Cap.
6)IPL 2013- Michael Hussey of Chennai Super Kings’ total score was 733 runs and hence he won the Orange Cap.

7)IPL 2014- Kolkata Knight Riders player Robin Uthappa scored 660 runs and won the Orange Cap.
8)IPL 2015- Davide Warner with 562 runs won the Orange Cap. He played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
9)IPL 2016- Virat Kohli from Royal Challengers Bangalores had the highest runs that are 973 and so he won the Orange Cap.

10)IPL 2017-David Warner scored 641 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad and won the Orange Cap.
11)IPL 2018- Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Kane Williamson made a total of 735 runs in the tournament to win the cap.
12)IPL 2019-David Warner scored 692 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad and won the Orange Cap.
13)IPL 2020-KL Rahul was playing for Kings XI Punjab when he scored a total of 670 runs and donned the Orange Cap.
