The IPL 2021 has been going on at a great pace, with all the teams playing in form, and giving a treat to their fans with the game. However, it is still a sport, and there will always be winners and losers in the game. Yesterday, on 21 April, the two teams that competed against each other, were Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, which resulted in the victory of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, disappointing the fans of the Punjab Kings.

The Punjab Kings played the first innings in the match, and scored 120 runs in 19.4 overs, at a loss of all 10 wickets. They set a target of 121 runs, for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which was quite low. As a result, the Sunrisers Hyderabad easily chased the score in 18.4 overs, at the loss of just one wicket, and won the match by 9 wickets.

After the defeat faced by Punjab Kings, people got into wondering why the team faced the loss, and these three reasons came up as an answer to it:

Firstly, the reason was that none of the Punjab Kings batsmen was able to make a valuable contribution in the match, which could increase the team’s target for the Sunrisers Hyderabad or even become a threat to one of their bowlers. The top scorers of the team were Mayank Agarwal and Shahrukh Khan, who only scored 22 runs each, for the team.

Secondly, Abhishek Sharma and Khaleel Ahmed, the two bowlers of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, themselves took 5 wickets for the team. While Khaleel Ahmed took 3 wickets, Abhishek Sharma took 2 wickets.

Thirdly, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen Jonny Bairstow and David Warner batted Punjab Kings out of the contest. The opening batsmen of the SRH, scored 73 runs in partnership, for the small target of 121 runs that they had to chase.
