Mumbai Indians lost their recent game against the team of Delhi Capitals on April 20, 2021. DC defeated MI by a difference of 6 wickets and 5 balls left of the last over of their innings. Firstly, Amit Mishra’s unparalleled bowling was surely one of the biggest reasons why DC beat MI. The cricketer bowled for 4 over and managed to take 4 wickets with those 24 balls he bowled. He essentially broke the back of the Mumbai Indians’ batting order. In total, Amit Mishra dismissed Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, and Ishan Kishan as well to do so.
Secondly, the power-hitters of the Mumbai Indians team failed to give a tough fight. The middle-order batsmen of the team, namely Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya, together, managed to put on a total score of just 3 runs on the board. They basically failed to give MI the late flourish with the bat that was much-needed. Thirdly, unlike the Delhi Capitals bowlers, Mumbai Indians bowlers did not put up as good of a game. MI bowler Jasprit Bumrah bowled 4 overs, within which he let MI score 32 runs. Additionally, he also gave away 2 heavy no-balls in the Penultimate Over while MI was defending a low total already.
