IPL 2020: Rajasthan Royals’ Rahul Tewatia Crushes Kings XI Punjab In His Best Performance Till Date
While Kings XI Punjab scored a good 223 runs, Rajasthan Royals’ Rahul Tewatia and Sanju Samson snatched Punjab’s victory away, in the ongoing IPL season
Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman Rahul Tewatia sealed his team’s victory against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Sunday, after scoring a stunning 53 runs out of just 31 balls in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) Season.
Tewatia, who initially had a slow start, changed the game for the Rajasthan team in the 18th over when he smashed five sixes, while facing baller Sheldon Cottrell. With just 18 deliveries left and more than 50 runs to clock in, Rahul changed the course of the game with his performance.
While he got out in the 19th over, it was too late for KL Rahul’s Kings XI to swing the match in their favour. The other star of the match, Rajasthan’s Sanju Samson made 85 runs of 42 balls. Captain Steve Smith was delighted with his team’s show and took to social media to praise his high-scorers.
Mayank Agarwal’s first IPL century, a 106 runs out of 50 balls couldn’t win Punjab the match unfortunately.
KXIP batted first, making 223 runs in 20 overs, while RR finished to win with 226 runs and four wickets remaining, in 19.3 overs.
