In the recent face-off between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, the MI performed extraordinary to defeat their rivals. Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals for first time in 5 years to lead IPL 2020 points table. MI had won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock had set a momentum. However, youngster Kartik Tyagi broke their partnership by dismissing South African batsman Quinton de Kock. Later Suryakumar Yadav anchored the inning by scoring 79 runs off just 47 balls. Finally, Mumbai Indians put a score of 193 runs on board.

The Rajasthan Royals batting line just collapsed as wickets started falling on regular intervals. However, Jos Buttler was one man standing for the Royals. Buttler scored 70 runs off 44 balls with five sixes and four boundaries. Rest other batsmen didn’t score many runs thus losing to Mumbai Indians by 57 runs.
