IPL 2020 emerged as one of the most interesting leagues played ever. Till the very last match of the schedule table, all the teams put a cut-throat fight leaving fans intrigued about who will qualify. However, on Tuesday, November 10, the Rohit Sharma led defending Champions Mumbai Indians lifted the IPL 2020 winner trophy for the fifth time post defeating Delhi Capitals (DC). This year’s league was more challenging due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. All the players had to endure several tests and precautionary measures throughout the series. However, few players put out an outstanding performance throughout the tournament and enthralled the audiences with their expertise. Here’s taking a quick glimpse at all these exceptional players:

Most Valuable Player – Jofra Archer
Jofra Archer of the Rajasthan Royal emerged as the Most Valuable Player of the IPL 2020. This England Squad player and bowler managed to take a whopping 20 wickets and gave 175 dot balls to his team. With five exceptional catches and 10 sixes under his kitty, Jofra Archer displayed his exemplary cricket expertise be it batting, bowling or fielding on the ground.
Orange Cap & Game Changer of the Season – KL Rahul
Every year, the Orange Cap goes to the highest run-scorer of the tournament. This year it was KL Rahul of the Kings XL Punjab. Rahul also created history by becoming the only second Indian player after Virat Kohli to score over 600 runs in two seasons. He scored a total of 670 runs with a strike rate of 129.34. KL Rahul hit 58 fours and 23 sixes in the tournament. Along with the Orange Cap, he also won the Game Changer of the Season Award with 976 IPL Fantasy Points.
Purple Cap – Kagiso Rabada
The Purple Cap goes to the leading wicket-taker of the tournament and this year it was given to Kagiso Rabada of the Delhi Capitals. In IPL 2020, Rabada took 30 wickets for his team in total with an economy rate of 8.34. The South African player along with being an exceptional bowler was also splendid at defending his team as a fielder.
Power Player of the season – Trend Boult
Power Player of the Season trophy was given to the Mumbai Indians’ exceptional bowler Trent Boult. The player collected 25 wickets in total for his team. Out of these 25 wickets, 16 were taken during the Power Plays.
The Most Sixes award of IPL 2020 was also lifted by a MI player, Ishan Kishan. The left-handed batsman was brought by Mumbai Indians last year. The player hit 30 massive sixes in total throughout the tournament.
Super-striker of the season – Kieron Pollard
Although the MI veteran did not get too many chances to play in IPL 2020, however, he still managed to leave a mark. Kieron Pollard managed to score 268 runs in about 16 matches with a stunning strike rate of 191.42
Emerging Player Award – Devdutt Padikkal
Devdutt Padikkal debuted in the IPL tournament this year and in the very first match, he went on to score a half-century for his team, Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 15 matches, the player scored 473 runs with 5 half-centuries in his kitty.
