Instagram revealed through an official blog post that they wish to ensure that content creators can turn their platform into their livelihood, thus maintaining the transparency by introducing the ‘Branded Content Tag’ allows the users to post sponsored content with complete transparency. Excerpts from the official blog post read the following – “We are committed to helping creators turn their passion into a living on Instagram. In addition to newer tools like badges in Live and IGTV Ads, branded content remains an important way that creators can make money. Today we’re sharing updates that will make it easier for creators and brands to create, share and amplify branded content across Instagram. We want to ensure creators can clearly disclose when they’re creating branded content, no matter what format they choose to use. To help increase transparency, the Branded Content tag is launching in Reels today, and will begin testing in Live in the coming weeks.”

This will not be the only change which is coming to Instagram as the platform is all set to introduce a keyword search feature as opposed to the ‘Search’ option which has been a staple for the social media platform. The keyword search feature has already been introduced in the UK, US, Ireland, Canada, and more. The feature is expected to make an entry in the Indian market too, however, there is no confirmation on how long it will take before that happens. In conclusion, it can be deemed that Instagram is evolving majorly and it won’t be long enough before the platform becomes even more content-creator friendly.
