Indigo Manager Shot Dead By Unidentified Assailants In Patna
Rupesh Kumar had just reached his apartment premises when bike-borne assailants waylaid him and opened at least six rounds of fire on him, injuring him fatally
In a tragic incident, a manager with Indigo Airlines was shot dead by unidentified assailants outside his Patna residence in the Punaichak area on Tuesday evening at around 7 pm. Rupesh Kumar was on his way back home from the airport and had just reached his apartment, Kusum Villa’s gate when the bike-borne men fired six rounds of gunshots on him, injuring him grievously.
The criminals left the spot waving their weapons soon after the attack. Kumar was rushed to a nearby private hospital by the police, but was unfortunately declared dead by the doctors. Eyewitnesses claim that they came out when they heard the commotion and saw the 42-year-old executive lying in a pool of blood inside his car. Visuals of the crime scene show a damaged driver-seat window of the victim’s SUV, indicating that the killers shot the bullets through the rolled-up glass. The deceased is survived by his wife and two children, a son and a daughter.
Meanwhile, the gruesome murder took a political turn with the opposition targeting the Nitish Kumar government. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav wrote on his Twitter account that the late aviation employee was a genial and helpful man and it is the state-protected criminals and goons who are now running Bihar.
