India’s Infrastructural Development Along The Border Worries Chinese Government
India’s road construction project along the border has tripled in the last four years, which is a cause of concern for the Chinese government.
The tensions between India and China border are rising every day. According to recent reports, it was found that India is continuously constructing roads along the border and China is complaining about it every now and then. In the last four years, India has tripled its infrastructural operations along the LAC. The road transport and highways ministry have increased four-fold the allocation for maintenance of border roads managed by the Border Road Organisation (BRO) from Rs 30 crore to Rs 120 crore for this year.
India has spent around two decades constructing the Darbuk-Shyok-DBO road, which has become a major reason of worry to China as this road gives the Indian military access to a section of Tibet-Xinjiang highway. This road branches out at many critical regions and that is why the Chinese government is complaining about India’s infrastructural development along the border.
