India Vs England 2nd T20I: India Levels Series 1-1 with Emphatic Win

The Indian cricket team beat England in their 2nd T-20I match on Sunday and levelled their score at 1-1 for the 5-match series.

The Indian cricket team turned victorious when it beat its opponent, England, in a brilliant match on Sunday recently. India defeated England by seven wickets in the game and levelled the series and it was a spectacular match for the viewers and fans to watch. While the team of England put up a score of 164 runs in the first innings, it was interesting to witness the Indian team chase down the total for a win.

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, India and England were up against each other for a rather interesting match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. While in the first innings, the team of England made a score of 164 runs, giving India the aim to score 165 to win the match, the latter did not fail to do so. Team India chased down a total of 165 runs with Virat Kohli playing up-front and scoring a whopping 73 runs. On the other hand, making his T-20I debut, Ishan Kishan made a half-century with a total of 56 runs in the match. This automatically turned him into the 4th batsman to score a half-century on their T-20I debut for the Indian team.

The Indian team bounced back with a brilliant game, unlike the opening game defeat they faced, registering a seven-wicket win against England in their 2nd T-20I match. On its home ground, India has failed to successfully chase down a score of one hundred and sixty-five runs or fewer once in the past. India’s victory in Sunday’s match managed to level the score at 1-1 with England in the 5-match series. Along with this, Virat Kohli became the first cricketer to have completed 3000 runs in T-20I matches and also recorded his 26th T-20I half-century.
