India vs China: Chinese Troops Continue To Engage In Intrusive Activities At Pangong Lake
Chinese troops continue to engage in provocative action and territorial aggression at the Pangong Lake.
The recent India China face-off has led to serious tensions at the border. India on Tuesday, September 1 said that even after it engaged with China to reduce the mounting tensions on the intermittent night of August 29-30, Chinese troops continued to engage in “provocative action”. This is the second time the Chinese troops have shown such territorial aggressive behaviour. However, due to the timely defensive action, the Indian forces were able to prevent damage.
Experts are of an opinion that Pangong lake is very important for India and China considering the defence and military aspect and that is why none of the countries are ready to back off. The Pangong lake is located at an altitude of 14,000 feet has a length of 135 kilometres and width of 6 kilometres. China has control of two-third of the Pangong lake region while India has control over the remaining 45 km.
