India Records 52,000 Coronavirus Cases In Last 24 Hours; Recovery Rate Reaches 64.4 Per Cent
775 deaths due to COVID-19 virus have been reported in India in the last 24 hours.
Coronavirus cases in India are spiking every day. Several states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and New Delhi remain to be worst affected by the virus. According to the latest news reports, India has recorded over 52,000 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its total number of COVID-19-positive cases to 1,584,384. This is the first time that COVID-19 cases in India have breached the 50,000 mark in a single day. In the last 24 hours, 775 deaths have been reported. The mortality rate in India is still under control, as currently it stands at 2.2 per cent compared to the global average of 4.1 per cent.
Looking at the positive side, the recovery rate in India has now reached 64.4 per cent. Out of 1.5 million cases, over 5,28,000 are active and around 1 million have recovered from the virus. The government is taking all possible measures to curb the virus and is certainly making remarkable progress at it.
