The COVID-19 cases in the world are rapidly rising and the virus is claiming the lives of thousands of individuals. India is among the nations who are worst affected by the virus. The Coronavirus cases in India are increasing every day. According to the latest reports, India reported 18,653 new Coronavirus cases and 507 deaths in 24 hours. The total number of Coronavirus cases in India now stands at 5,85,493, while the death toll has reached 17,400.

The three worst-affected states in India are Maharashtra with 1,69,883 confirmed cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 86,224 cases and a death toll of 1141. The third worst affected state is the national capital New Delhi with 85,161 confirmed cases and 2,680 deaths. The cases in India are increasing despite the two-to-three-month lockdown. However, looking at the positive side, the recovery rate in India is also rising substantially.
