The latest COVID-19 numbers from India have revealed a shocking truth. India has now overtaken Brazil in the number of single-day coronavirus cases by reporting 29,429 cases in just 24 hours. That’s yet another instance of witnessing the highest count of COVID-19 cases in a single day. As India has now left Brazil behind, it only stands behind the US in terms of the highest single-day COVID-19 count. The country had breached the 60,000-mark earlier this month.

India has been seeing a meteoric rise in the number of coronavirus cases these past few weeks. This comes at a time when the country is going according to Unlock 2.0 guidelines, which were put in place to bring things back to normal following the four lockdowns. It seems that the guidelines aren’t quite working since lockdowns are again being imposed in several cities around the country. In fact, the entire state of Bihar will be entering another lockdown for the next 15 days.
