India Crosses 82 Lakh Coronavirus Cases
With a spike of 45,230 Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, hospitals in India are dealing with an overwhelming surge in the number of patients reporting in.
India has reported more than 82 lakh cases of COVID19 till November 2. As of Monday, the total Coronavirus tally stands at 82,29,313, with a spike of 45,230 cases and 496 deaths in the last 24 hours. Currently, there are 5,61,908 active positive patients.
Despite the soaring numbers, the nation has reported one of the highest recovery rates in the world at more than 91%. While 75,44,798 people have been cured so far, 53,285 patients have been discharged in the last one day.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), more than 11 crore samples (11,07,43,103 samples) have been tested till November 1.
As the overall count of infections is slowly decreasing, many regions including Delhi is bracing itself for a possible third wave of the deadly virus. Medical experts in the national capital have warned residents to take all necessary precautions to contain the virus. With the rising pollution in the state and a steady increase in COVID cases, mask-wearing, social distancing and following proper sanitation guidelines are imperative to control the pandemic.
