The 1965 film Shaheed is considered as a pioneer among biopics. The film is depicts the Indian freedom struggle through the eyes of revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. As the film progress, we get to witness crucial moments of the freedom struggle, such as how Lala Lajpat Rai was martyred, why Bhagat Singh and Bhatukeshwar Dutt threw bombs in the assembly, and the indefinite hunger strike organised by Mahatma Gandhi. 2. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha
India got freedom at the cost of Partition. A new country was formed on 14 August 1947–Pakistan. Sunny Deol plays the role of Tara Singh, a person who is wounded by scars of Partition. The movie actually shows the topic of Partition and its aftermath with the utmost respect.
