Ind Vs Eng: Deep Dasgupta Says Kohli’s Captaincy Will Be Questioned If India Lose The Series
See what Deep Dasgupta has to say about captain Kohli regarding the second match between India and England.
Ahead of the second match between India and England, former Indian cricketer, Deep Dasgupta shared his piece of mind regarding the team’s performance. He highlighted that if team India fails to take their revenge from England after the first defeat, Virat Kohli’s captaincy would be questioned.
Talking about the same, Deep mentioned that there are several people who have been questioning Virat’s captaincy and also talking about World Test Championship. However, he believes that people shouldn’t pass a judgement right now instead they should let the Indian team play a few more matches and then judge.
Further talking about the performances of several players in the first test match, Deep called Kuldeep and Azar as quality choices but reckons that Patel could get the nod as it is a straight swap with Nadeem. Dasgupta also believes Sundar could again play as he batted well in the first innings.
Deep Dasgupta also made a remark on Rohit Sharma as he answered a fan question. He said that Indian opener Rohit Sharma is not out of form, he is out of runs. He added that Rohit was dismissed on good deliveries in the first Test but on Australia tour, he failed to capitalise on his good starts.
