Here’s Why We Think Sindhu Has The Same Spark Seen In Mrs Mukhyamantri’s Summi
BollywoodSindhu’s aspirational journey reminds us of Summi from Mrs Mukhyamantri. Read on to know why we think so!
Sindhu is a period drama that is based on the life of a child prodigy who dreams of educating herself against the wishes of her family. Through her delightful journey, we get a glimpse of how Sindhu sets an example for other women to follow, especially those who wish to break free from the shackles of society. She has shown her true character in testing times and has fought her way through it. Her aspirational goals remind us of another popular character from Zee Marathi and that is none other thanĀ Mrs Mukhyamantri’s Summi whose spark matches that of Sindhu’s. Read on to know why we think so!

Sindhu has been the flagbearer for women empowerment and has strived to work towards it. She has provided a voice for other women who have been discriminated against. Mrs Mukhyamantri’s Summi, too, has been nothing but an epitome of being a progressive woman. Despite hailing from a rural background, Summi has proved everyone wrong by becoming the wife of a Chief Minister. She aspired to become successful by running a small catering business even though she has been asked to shut it down umpteen times by her family. Likewise, Sindhu continues to pursue her dream even after her marriage with Devavrat. On one such occasion, Sindhu confronts her father-in-law and asks him to allow her to go to school. The societal norms don’t seem to affect these two head strong characters, do they?

Summi had a tough time when she decided to marry Samar. Since she was an unlikely match for Samar, the latter’s mother Anuradha was against their marriage. However, Summi turned Anuradha’s hatred into love and earned herself the tag of ‘Mrs Mukhyamantri’. She won over everyone in the family with her likemindedness and honesty. We can see the same spark in Sindhu as well. While she struggles to gain the trust of her family after her marriage, Sindhu doesn’t lose hope. The little girl accepts every responsibility put on her by her in-laws and manages to perform tasks dutifully. Sindhu ends up playing an important role in everyone’s lives she’s connected with and becomes a key decision-maker in her family. Her opinions are finally taken into consideration by those who previously despised her including Bhamini and Godavari.
