If you have ever deleted photos from the Google Photos app by mistake and have struggled to find them again, here are some steps you can take to recover them. Firstly, any photo ever deleted from the Google Photos app ends up in the trash folder and stays there for up to 60 days. So, the first step is to check the trash/bin folder for the photos if it has been lesser than 60 days since you have deleted a picture. However, it is difficult to recover the photos that have been deleted for over a period of 60 days.
You would first need to open the Google Photos app and look for a button with three little lines on your screen. If you have updated the app to its latest version, you may need to look for the ‘Library’ option on the bottom bar of the app. Upon opening ‘Library’ you will be given a few options, one of which will be the ‘Bin’ option. Open it and select all the photos you can see that you would want to recover and hit the ‘Restore’ button on the right side at the bottom. This will restore all those deleted photos. You can also recover your photos via a web browser. Go to the search bar and open this link – https://photos.google.com/. Next, log in to your Google account with your Google credentials and look for the ‘Library’ option. Follow the same process as on the app to recover your lost photos.
