Phase one: transportation.
Vaccines will be transported from the manufacturer to the primary vaccine store via air. Refrigerated vans will then transport the vaccines from the primary vaccine store to the state vaccination storage.
These refrigerated vans will then transport the vaccine from state storage to district vaccine store. Finally, the same refrigerated vans will transport the vaccines from the district vaccine store to primary health centres across India.
Phase two: identification and vaccination.
In this phase, vaccines will be transported to the sub-centre session site. Registration of the beneficiaries will also simultaneously begin at these sites. As per various reports, beneficiaries will be allocated and informed of the time and place of the session via SMS. On the due date, the first dose of the vaccine will be given out to the beneficiaries.
Phase three: post-vaccination.
In this stage, the beneficiaries will be briefed about the course of their vaccination through a message. Reports suggest that a unique health ID will also be provided to the beneficiaries and a QR code is going to be given out based on a certificate to the vaccinated beneficiaries as well. The vaccinated beneficiaries will be asked to report any signs of side effects to the nearest official authorities.
