Hathras Case: ED To Question Four Arrested PFI Members
Mathura Chief Judicial Magistrate granted permission for the inquiry. The ED team will go to the Mathura jail for the interrogation procedures.
The Hathras case is being investigated by various government agencies. Today, October 14, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will interrogate all four members of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in the Hathras gang rape and murder case. According to the news reports, the ED team will go to the Mathura jail for the interrogation procedures. On Tuesday, October 13, Mathura Chief Judicial Magistrate granted permission for the inquiry. The four PFI members will be questioned about funding worth Rs 100 crore in connection with the Hathras protests.
Sources also stated that the PFI members will remain in Mathura jail under judicial custody for 14 days. After the interrogation procedures, the ED may seek remand of all the four accused from the court. The investigation of the Hathras case has intensified in recent days. The CBI questioned the victim’s brother for four hours and will also interrogate other people in connection with this case.
