Hathras Case: CCTVs Installed, Jawans Deployed To Secure Victim’s Family
Security has been beefed up for the family members of the 19-year-old Hathras Dalit woman who died after being gang-raped and brutalised.
The family of Hathras victim is grieving and overwhelmed and wants to leave the village. However, for the safety of the family, the UP government has provided bodyguards to all the family members. CCTV cameras and metal detectors have been installed outside the house. 18 PAC personnel have been deployed outside the victim’s family house. Besides the head constable, six other guards (four men, two women) live inside the house. Security has been beefed up for the family members of the 19-year-old Hathras Dalit woman, who died after being gang-raped and brutalised last month.
Metal detectors have been placed at the entry points of the victim’s house. CCTV cameras are being installed at the focal points of the house. Three-layered security is in place and personal security is also being provided to the family members. The victim’s brother has been provided with two gunners, a senior Uttar Pradesh government official said on Monday (October 5). “Security has been tightened around the victim’s house in Hathras and her family members have also been provided security,” Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Kumar Awasthi told the Press Trust of India (PTI).
