Hathras Case: CBI Team Visits Crime Scene
The CBI team went to Chandpa police station and interrogated the police team that carried out the cremation before visiting the crime scene.
On Tuesday, October 13, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team reached Hathras to investigate the gang rape and murder of 19 year-old Dalit woman. Sources also confirmed that the CBI team will inspect the crime spot where the woman was allegedly gang-raped and assaulted by four men. It is also reported that before heading to Hathras, the CBI team went to Chandpa police station and interrogated the police team that carried out the cremation and were involved in this case. Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the case and had assigned a Special Investigating Team (SIT) to probe the case. The CM later ordered a CBI inquiry into the incident.
The victim’s family members and top officials recorded their statements at Allahabad High Court. The CBI will thoroughly investigate this case before drawing a final conclusion.
