Rana Daggubati is one of the hottest actors from the South Indian industry. Well, he certainly broke many hearts when he got married to Miheeka Bajaj. The actor is known for his commendable acting skills and brilliant looks. The actor made his debut in films in 2010 with Telugu blockbuster Leader, for which he even won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. Rana Daggubati gained major popularity with his role as Bhallaldeva in the Baahubali series. As the actor turns 36, here are some unknown facts about the powerhouse of talent – Rana Daggubati.

1) Rana Daggubati began his mainstream film career as the producer of the National Award-winning film Bommalata (2004).

2) In 2005, Rana Daggubati started working as a VFX coordinator. He set up a company called Spirit Media and went on work on over 70 films as a VFX co-coordinator. He initially worked in the visual effects department for Mahesh Babu’s Sainikudu in 2006 which also gave him a Nandi Award.

3) Rana earned major appreciation for his movie Baahubali and its sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became India’s first movie to hit the 1000-crore mark.

4) Rana Daggubati played a lead role in India’s first underwater film – The Ghazi Attack.

5) Rana is a die-hard fan of legendary actors Kamal Haasan and Sridevi. Interestingly, for his character in Baahubali, the actor took inspiration from Kamal Haasan’s cult classic Nayagan to get the nuances right for an aged man.

6) Rana’s favourite sport is Kabaddi and he is also the brand ambassador of thePro Kabbadi League.

7)Rana worked as a coolie as he participated in the show Memu Saitham. This show is based on the concept of celebrities doing odd jobs to earn a handful amount for the needy.

8) In 2016, Rana informed that he is blind in his right eye, and his left eye is a transplanted one. He was treated with surgery at L. V. Prasad Hospital, Hyderabad. Another surgery was done on his right eye when he was 14 but it was unsuccessful.

9) Rana Daggubati has a prized possession and that is sneakers. He loves shoes and tends to buy a pair whenever he is on a vacay or out for a shopping stroll.

10) Daggubati is a graduate in Industrial photography. Some reports also suggest that Rana always wanted to do software engineering.

11) In 2018, Rana ventured with India’s leading entertainment agency Kwan Entertainment. He also partnered with Anthill Ventures, an investment and scaling platform for early growth stage start-ups.
